We're about extremes, baby! A love for all genres of music pleasantly sprinkled overa solid base of straight-ahead Rock N' Blues coupled with a frontman that has beendeemed wilder than "...a coked up James Brown" (Chart Magazine), we feel that wecould do no other moniker justice.

So how long have you guys been together?

Too long. Let's put it this way...when you know how often certain members wax theirass hair, it's been a while. As a full-blown rock extravaganza, it's been about a year.

What other bands are you or have you been involved with?

That's rather personal, isn't it? OH...I get it. Well, The Mikes were once the rhythmsection for a folked-up Bad Religion-esque outfit called the Autodidacts. Keith Maurikused to bludgeon guitar strings for the Vancouver-based Sex In Sweden. Keith Carman hacked around in poopy punk bands like the Tirekickers, and Max is best known for terrorizing open stage nights across the Greater Toronto Area.

We play anywhere there's Girls, Booze and Cash. Well, maybe not always the cash. Our favorite shows have generally been when we've haunted  the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern and the El Mocambo. But of course, none of these nights have ever come close to our insanely lucrative performance at the Q-Bar with pre-teenDJ's. We're talking 3 beers. EACH! So we're not morons!

Who writes the songs or do you just do it by committee?

We usually pick the best tunes penned by our committee of apes that we have feverishly typing out epic songs daily. If that doesn't work, we call in the Keiths. Every ape has a hand in the final product though.

Do you know or are you currently playing any cover tunes?

Our favorite cover tune right now is probably "Pipeline" by the Ventures, or whoever they ripped it off from. Other than that, we prefer to play our own stuff, 'cause you can't tell if anyone fucks up.

What are your major musical influences and are they a big part ofwhat you're doing?

Because we all come from terribly diverse backgrounds, there's this big melting pot of influence that ends up directing our music. Generally speaking though, Max bringsin the 50's rock, Mike Childs loves bad 80's metal. Sydney can't get over the fact that Yes suck, Keith Maurik is Punker Than Thou, even though his guitar seems to loveblasting out the AC/Greasy, and Keith Carman has a schizophrenic love for Hendrix and the Misfits.

What records have you bought recently? I know one of you is a Butthole Surfers fan (due to a purchase @ Birdman last time up). Any standouts?

Keith Carman loves surfing buttholes. Being the industry weasels we are, we desperately fight having to exchange currency for product, but some of are still suckers. Between the five of us, some AFI crept into the shopping cart recently, PJ Harvey...uh, Minipops, Zeke...

You guys play a ferocious brand of Rock 'n' Roll with much impact, and your vocalistis completely out of control. Where do you musterup all that energy and are you not all exhausted at the end of a night's work?

Have you recorded any material and are you planning or hoping to release anything?

Sadly, yes. We've been looking into a few producers that might have the patience to deal with us for a couple of days. It's looking like we'll be the proud possessors of a few hundred 7" (to go with our collective 5") in the next few months.

So are you hyped? What goes down on the 29th of September?

We are fucking stoked. Seriously. Our last engagement in Ottawa blew us away. You people are so fuckin' cool! (True about flattery...ed) The 29th of Septemberis the Day of Reckoning for Ottawa, Birdman and Bumpers. Are you ready for the Maximum RNB?
